Fair Housing: Reasonable Accommodations and Modifications for the Disabled
State and federal fair housing laws require rental owners and managers to take reasonable steps to ensure that prospective or current residents may enjoy the full benefit of their rental homes. This course explains the steps you should follow to process a request for an accommodation or modification of your existing policies or rental property, including verification of the need, approval or denial of the request, and, when necessary, implementation of the steps to satisfy the agreed upon request.
The course includes an initial test to assess your knowledge of the subject, followed by 11 lessons and then a final test. The knowledge test and lesson review quizzes do not count towards your final test score. A certificate of completion will be awarded for successful completion of the course and a score of 70% or higher on the final test.
This course qualified for 2 hours of California Certified Residential Management (CCRM) continuing education credits for Fair Housing.
